What this covers
Behind every event registration and every order there is a person, and often a company paying for it. This section deals with that master data.
Worth knowing up front, because it causes the most questions: master data and orders are separate. An order stores a snapshot of the data at the time of purchase. If you correct a contact's address later, past orders do not change with it. That is deliberate, because a completed order should show what applied back then.
